For when you feel stalled.

The “10-Minute Start” Method

How it works:

  • Set a 10-minute timer.
  • No editing.
  • No evaluating.
  • Only starting.

Use it for:

  • Songwriting
  • Scripture reflections
  • Hard conversations
  • Cleaning a room
  • Vocal warmups

The rule: You’re allowed to stop after 10 minutes.
Most of the time, you won’t.

For those who, like me, think in layers

The 3-Layer Creative Check-In

Every morning ask:

  1. Body – What does my body need?

  2. Heart – What emotion is present?

  3. Mind – What one thing matters most today?

Write 1 sentence for each.

This prevents the “50 tracks open at once” feeling you can read about here.

Instead of Achievement mentality

Effort > Outcome Tracker

Instead of:

  • Views

  • Follows

  • Loads of Laundry

  • Validation

  • Clean House

Track:

  • Did I show up?

  • Did I move?

  • Did I create?

  • Did I love well?

A simple daily checkbox system is enough.

Consistency illuminates identity.
